NAME 29
Bhūtādiḥ भूतादिः
He is the cause of entire creation. This is the quality of the Brahman. His origin is unknown. That is why the Brahman is called ādi (beginningless) and anādi (without parentage, created on Its own).
Kṛṣṇa says (Bhagavad Gita X.8), “I am the source of all creation and everything in the world moves because of Me.”
२९. ॐ भूतादये नमः।
29. Om Bhootadihye Namah
Bhootaadih – The very cause (“aadi”) for the five great elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.
bhutadih / a) One who is eagerly sought after by all beings. b) The source or cause of all beings. c) The very source of the pancabhutas the creator of punchabhuta – the earth, fire , water , air and sky / living
Bhagwat Gita X.8

BG 10.8: I am the origin of all creation. Everything proceeds from me. The wise who know this perfectly worship me with great faith and devotion.
Shree Krishna begins the verse by saying ahaṁsarvasyaprabhavo, meaning “I am the Supreme Ultimate Truth and the cause of all causes.” He has repeated this multiple times in the Bhagavad Gita, in verses 7.7, 7.12, 10.5, and 15.15. It is also strongly proclaimed in all the other scriptures. The Rig Veda states:

“I make the persons I love exceedingly mighty; I make them men or women; I make them wise sages; I make a soul empowered for the seat of Brahma.”
The wise who comprehend this truth develop firm faith and worship him with loving devotion.
Thus, Shree Krishna is the Supreme Lord of both the material and spiritual creations. However, administering creation is not the primary work of God.
INTERPRETATION GUIDED BY SANT VANI (WORDS OF SAINTS)
Bhūtādiḥ
The source of all beings.
I may say that my parents were the cause for me to be here. Who was the cause for them to be here? Their parents and so on and so forth. Is there a unitary source from whom all have come?
The Lord is the one who is the source, the cause of all beings. Here the word ‘bhūta’ can be taken to mean the five elements from which everything has come or it can mean all beings. Before the bhūtas, elements like space and so on were born, the one who was already there is bhūtādi. Ādi means the beginning, the cause. The cause is always before the effect. For a given tree, the seed is the cause. But as in the tree and seed, it is not cyclical, the Lord is not present in a cyclical manner. The Lord is the causeless cause. Hence, He is bhutānāmādih, the cause of all beings and even of the elements. The Chāndogyopaniṣad says, ‘Sadevasomyaidamagraāsīt–
that sat-vastu alone was there in the beginning’ (6.2.1).
Generally the Kārana, cause, undergoes a change to become the effect. But being sthāṇu, He does not undergo any change. Even though He does not undergo any change, He becomes the cause of everything. Without undergoing any change, He allows all changes to take place. The cause should not undergo any change, only then changes are possible.
Source of Creation
Sarg, Visarg, Vritti, Raksha, Manvantar, Vansh, Vanshanucharit, Sanstha (Annihilition), Hetu and Apashraya. These distinct ten marks are said to be identity of any purans.
Sarg: How did cosmos & universe emerged and developed? How did Satvik, Tamo and Rajo tendencies developed. How sun, moon, Loks, 5 element, yug, etc developed?
Visarg: The Moveable and immovable universes created by Brahma who emerged from a fraction of infinite person (Vishnu) are called Visarg. Similary Vritti – Aprashaya have their own guidelines where as per the characteristics, information is provided. Sanstha is Annihilation or Pralay. Four types of Pralay are there; Naimittik, Prakritik, Aatyantik and Nitya Pralay.
THE CREATION: The creation processes were divided into nine sargs. The first three in a grouped form is called Prakrit Sarg and and last 6 are Vaikrit Sarg. Details are as follows:
1. Mahttvsarg (महत्सर्ग): It contains Tam, Moh, Mahamoh, Tamistra and Andh. These were all considered as Avidhya (अविद्या).
2. Bhootsarg :Panch Mahabhoot; Space(Antariksh), Water (Jal) , Prithvi (Thal), Agni & Vayu (Air)
3. AindriyakSarg : 5 Gyanendriya (Sensory Organ) and 5 Kaamedriya (Organ of Action)
4. MukhySarg : Here Lifeless things like Mountains, Land, Chetna etc were created
5. Tiryakstotra (तिर्यक्स्तोत्र) : Then world of Animals & Birds.
6. Udhravystotra: It was also known as Dev Sarg. The qualities were more happiness(सुख) and adoration (प्रीति). Here Demigods were (Yaksha).
7. Arvakstotra (अर्वाक्स्तोत्र): This was seventh type of creation and was known as Maanush sarg meant for development of Maanush.
8. Anugrahsarg: Here other species were made
9. KaumarSarg : The re-entry of Kumaras.
Below is the quick brief of above Nine Sargs
Sanak, Sanatan, Sanandan, Ribhu and Sanatkaumars were made. They were truly dedicated to austerity and free of desire so they didn’t used their brain to increase the world. Further Brahma did Tapas for years, and from his anger and blessings of Shiva, Rudras and Rudranis were born but they refused the expansion as they were interested in penance.
Creation of Sthanabhimanis were done like Water, Air, Agni, Aakash, Antariksh (Cosmos) and Prithvi. And further Rivers, Ocean, Mountains, Trees, Vegetation, Art, Muhurts, Day-Night, Half-Month (अर्धमास),Month, Ayan, Year and Yug.
Helpers (सहायक) to sthanabhimanis were created. They were Marichi, Bhrgu, Angira, Pulastya, Pulah, Krtu, Daksh, Atri, Vashisth, Dharm and Sankalp. They all were considered as Grihastya and helper to expansion of the world. Then Dev (god), Asur, Pitar and human based world were brought by enforcing dharm.
Nights and Asurs were created of TamoGun (तमोगुण) meant for sleeping. Then via Sattvagunn (सत्त्वगुण) Day and God &Pitr (पितर) and Evening (संध्या) were created in combination. That’s why for days, night and evening time are meant for God, Asurs and Pitars respectively. And Via Rajogunn (रजोगुण), Manush and PrakSandhya were made.
From the combination of Tam and Rajogunn, hungry Rakshsas were born in darkness. They were known as Nishachar (Night Crawlers). From this combination Snakes, Bhoot, Yakshas and Gandharvas were born. Further Sheeps, Goat, Cows, Elephant, Horse, Neelgaay, Fruits, Flowers etc were born from various parts of his body.
Then from East Mouth, Gayatri kshhand, Rigved, Trivritsaam, Rathantar and Agniosthamyagya were made. From South Mouth Yajurved, Trish-thubKshhand, Panchdash group of mantras, Brihatsam and Vad Mantra named Ukth (उक्थ). From West Mouth, Samved, JagatiKshannd, Saptadash group of mantras and Yagya named Vairup and Atiraatra. From North Mouth, Atharva Ved with 21 branches, Anukshhutupkshannd, and Yagya named Aaptoryaam and Vairaj.
STILL THERE WAS NO EXPANSION IN THE SHRISTI (WORLD).
Further after doing manthan, he with the help of Shiva divided a body into two parts of which Purush (Male) and Naari (Female) were formed. The female yogini was known as Shatroopa, she was filled with Science, Yog, Power, Knowledge etc. The male was known as Virat who later became famous as Swayambhu Manu.
After immense tapas, Shatroopa got Virat as her husband and two sons and daughter named Priyvrat, Uttanpad and Prasuti, Aakuti were born. These were the first births with in Mithuni Srishti. Then various expansion were made by their sons and daughters with Manas-Putras.
